STOVE & OVEN PROBLEMS

WON’T IGNITE

When an electric stove does not start, first check if the stove power cord is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are on. You should check the pilot light on gas stoves. If the stove power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is lit in the oven, it means a different part will have to be repaired. The cause of the problem could be the infinite switch, surface element, oven igniter or broil and bake element.

BURNER WON’T HEAT

A burner or stove or oven that does not produce heat doesn’t do much good. An oven won’t heat if there is a broken bake element or oven sensor. A burner does not ignite if an element is broken or the burner switch or the terminal block don’t work. We can fix these issues in less than 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

TIMER ISSUES

It is safe to assume the control panel on an oven is broken if the timer or program settings are not working. In this case, we can repair control boards for GE, LG, Sears, KitchenAid, Kenmore and several other brands and models of stoves, ovens and ranges. We provide a warranty on control panels and manufacturer replacement parts we need for this stove repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS VERY HOT

You want a hot oven. Although not too hot! If the oven heat is out of control, it might be due to a broken thermostat or sensor. Our appliance repairmen know how to diagnose the reason for the issue and repair it. But be careful if troubleshooting this issue for fear of skin burns from the very high and unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER DOES NOT LIGHT

A common stove issue is that an igniter will glow but doesn’t light. The reason this occurs is from either a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We determine whether we can repair these appliance parts or if we will need to replace the parts.

DOOR DOES NOT OPEN

New self-cleaning ovens are known to experience door problems. The door doesn’t open after the oven is done cleaning itself. We inspect the door latch, thermostat and seal to figure out why the door does not open up and then complete the necessary repair so we can fix the issue.
